|What Happens in a Lesson|
Your first lesson provides us with the opportunity to talk about your situation, and to work out how the Alexander Technique can help you to make positive changes.
Initially the early lessons are spent working on becoming more present and connected to the 'here and now'. Frequently we find ourselves absorbed in worrying about what has happened and what could happen. By being more present we are able to become more aware of how our mind and body are working. By understanding the deep connection between the mind and body, we have the ability to start unravelling some the reasons why we do things, and are able to choose to do things in new way.
In a typical lesson we would work together in enabling you to develop more awareness in movement and in rest.
